Greeting its fourth year, ‘Korea Artist Prize’ is a system co-organized by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA, Korea) and the SBS Foundation adhering to the mission of promoting artists with great possibilities, vision and new alternative to Korean contemporary art. From the year 2015, ‘Korea Artist Prize’ will be held at the Seoul branch of MMCA, Korea. - curated by Dongeun Ma, MMCA Seoul
작가의 목소리로 듣는 작가관, 그간의 행보를 엿볼 수 있는 도록 등을 살펴보는 용도의 작가소개의 공간이자 관람객을 위한 쉼터입니다. 도입부의 은은한 빛을 통해 관람객을 인도하고자 하였으며, 골드와 블랙이 주는 묵직함과 수직성을 강조한 가구의 배치는 다소 협소한 영역 안에서도 시상식의 권위를 잃지 않게 도와줄 것입니다. 타이틀 디자인에서 비롯된 패턴이미지를 전체 배경에 활용함으로서 율동감을 주어 자칫 단조롭지 않기를 희망하였습니다. 이러한 배경 연출은 공간의 구별로서의 기능도 가집니다.
